Contamination control of particles in oil and hydraulic fluids are critical for a range of applications from hydraulic systems in big earth moving equipment to turbines in power stations.
Measuring the cleanliness of these fluids according to ISO 4406 is a simple matter with the Pamas range of laboratory and inline oil particle counters. Counters is calibrated according to ISO 11171
Pamas instrumentation uses volumetric sensors which means all the oil moving through the sensors is measured ensuring the best accuracy and sensitivity. The sensor employs a single particle counting system using the light blockage principle (where the particle passing a laser casts a shadow on the sensor in proportion to the size of the particle).
The Pamas SBSS is typically used as bench top laboratory particle counter while the S40 is a mobile counter typically used in the field.
Both system allows the user complete flexibility for typical parameters like pre-sample flushing, sample volume and number of samples measured. This flexibility means that the user can optimise methods to suit a single sample type or even a range of sample types. Pre-configured methods ensure trouble free measurement for operators.
