When someone is interested in a portable liquid particle counter, we are often asked what is the difference is between a standard S40 and the S40GO?  Today I will answer that question!

The S40 is the original portable particle counter from Pamas and few people know that it has a build-in battery for use in the field for up to 3 hours. It is supplied these days in a nice hard-top plastic case with the relevant sample tubing, manual, and spare thermal printing paper.

The S40GO as you can see on the pictures above is slightly more compact than the standard S40 and is built into a hardtop plastic case. It was designed with the idea that a user can store it in the overhead locker on an aircraft. The S40GO has the same functionality as the standard S40 and operates the same way.

So now you know!
