MPASelf-contained Membrane Permeation Analyzer

The Membrane Permeation Analyzer (MPA Horizon) is a self-contained cross-flow gas permeation instrument designed for investigating the competitive permeation of gases and vapors through membranes and barrier films. It features multi-component analysis capabilities and tests key parameters such as water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and oxygen transmission rate (OTR), ensuring thorough evaluation of membrane performance.

In most membranes, the nature of the environment can influence the permeation of gases or vapors, especially the temperature and humidity. The MPA Horizon enables the testing of gas/vapor permeation and permeation kinetics under real-world conditions.

Looking for Greater Efficiency?

The MPA Horizon addresses the critical challenges researchers face in evaluating polymer barrier effectiveness. By accurately measuring the transmission rates of water vapor, oxygen, and CO2 through polymer films, it provides essential insights into material performance.

Moreover, the MPA Horizon allows researchers to analyze the impact of varying environmental conditions—such as temperature, humidity, and the presence of organic compounds—on the permeation of components through membranes. This capability is crucial for understanding real-world permeation behavior and optimizing materials for enhanced barrier properties.
